Debra Susan Kahler, 59, was called home to our Lord on February 4, 2012. Born to the late Max and Bobbie Pendley on January 21, 1953, she graduated from Columbia Christian High School in 1971, and cared for people at work as a dental assistant, office manager, and a Human Resources Director, and at home as a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend. She loved taking care of her family, music, traveling, movies, art, and laughter. She was warm and welcoming to all, and our lives will be forever enriched by our time with her. Debra is survived by her husband, Ron Kahler, children Chris Hopper, Mark Hopper, Marcie Wilson, and Jamie Kahler, brother Dan Pendley, sister Shelia Johnson, and four grandchildren, all of Vancouver, and extended family in Washington, Oregon, and Alabama. A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens chapel at 1101 NE 112th Av, Vancouver, WA 98684, Friday February 24, 2012 at 3:00pm. A memory book will be available for adding 4x6 photos or written notes and memories on provided index cards. A gathering will follow the service in the Hospitality Room.
